Determine your bangle size.
How to Find Your Perfect Bangle Size
Jade bangles are rigid and don't stretch, so getting your size right matters. A properly fitted bangle should feel a little snug going on — you may need a bit of moisturiser or a plastic bag looped over your hand to ease it over your knuckles. Once it's on, it should not slide off easily on bare, dry skin. This snugness is intentional: a bangle that's too loose can fling off your wrist when your hands are wet or soapy.
A Common Mistake to Avoid
Many people measure around their wrist — this works for bracelets with a clasp or opening, but not for bangles. A bangle is a solid, closed loop that has to pass over the widest part of your hand (across your knuckles) before it reaches your wrist. Measuring your wrist alone will almost always give you a size that's too small. Always measure across your palm/knuckles using one of the methods below.
Use at least 2 of the methods below — if they land on the same size in the chart, you can order with confidence.
Method 1: String, Paper Strip, or Flexible Measuring Tape (most accurate)
- Wrap a strip of paper, a piece of string, or a flexible measuring tape around the widest part of your hand — over your thumb knuckle, cupping your hand as if sliding a bangle on.
- If using string or paper, mark where it overlaps, lay it flat, and measure the length in cm. If using a flexible tape, read the measurement directly.
- Match this circumference to the chart below.
Method 2: Ruler Across Your Palm
- Flatten your hand and tuck your thumb in, as if passing a bangle over your knuckles.
- Measure straight across the widest point, in mm.
- Match this width to the chart below.
Method 3: Measure a Bangle You Already Own
If you have a bangle that fits you well, measure its inner diameter (straight across the inside) in mm — that's your Bangle Size. No chart needed.

Sizing Chart
| Bangle Size (diameter) | Circumference of your palm | Width of your palm |
|---|---|---|
| 50-52mm | 16-17cm | 60-64mm |
| 52-54mm | 17-18cm | 64-68mm |
| 54-56mm | 18-19cm | 68-72mm |
| 56-58mm | 19-20cm | 72-76mm |
| 58-60mm | 20-21cm | 76-80mm |
| 60-62mm | 21-22cm | 80-84mm |
| 62mm and above | 22cm and above | 84mm and above |
Choosing Within Your Range
Each size step is only 1mm — about the thickness of a fingernail — so it's completely normal to be comfortable in your measured size, one size up, or one size down.
- Want to take your bangle on and off rather than wear it long-term? Choose the larger size in your range.
- For older wearers, or anyone with less hand flexibility, we recommend the larger size in your comfortable range.
Bangle Shape Matters
- Oval (Guifei) bangles — since the listed size is based on the longer diameter, these will only fit if sized 2 sizes smaller than your straight measurement. For example, a Guifei bangle labeled 56mm will only fit someone who measures 54mm.
- Traditional Round bangles — thanks to their rounded edges, these can fit up to 2 sizes smaller than your straight measurement.
A Few Tips
- Please measure carefully using at least two of the methods above — accurate self-measurement is the best way to get a perfect fit on the first try.
- Because jade doesn't stretch, sizing mistakes can't be corrected after the fact. See our Return Policy for what applies if a bangle doesn't fit on arrival.
